What with the totally unbelievable story of Carol and her 'toyboy' now we are supposed to believe that Ronnie is going to substitute her dead baby for Kat's live one and nobody is going to notice the difference. Anyway, why is Kat in hospital and the baby's left at home - who is feeding it - not her clearly.
Well now I watched it now I know they have totally lost it. I mean, I know all babies look like Phil Mitchell nobody has noticed the difference. Eastenders promotes itself as dealing with 'issues' and certainly if they think they can tackle it deal with the issue of cot death but please make it properly realistic, it's enough of a story when the proper baby is lost without bringing such a ridiculous story line. I think this is where I stop watching.
I only caught it on by accident, had no idea it was on tonight and must have missed an episode.
Found it very uncomfortable to watch, if they wanted to cover an issue such as cot death I wish they'd cover it more sensitively without trying to mix it up with a sensationalised storyline, just feels wrong.

this is where the randomness of EE / soap dialogue come in, in a previous epiosde there was an exchange between alfie/Mo and someone eklse regarding baby Moon's weight, he was 8lbs 4ozs apparently, this is probably how it is revealed, that's a biggish baby. kat has hardly held her son and so she won't necessarily spot the weight difference.
Jenna I totally agree, by all means deal with an issue like cot death, evidently they have really looked into it and talked with people who have undergone this kind of crisis but for goodness sake the swapping of one baby for another is going far too far. Regardless of whether or not anyone would have noticed the difference it is over sensationalising a subject which is much too sensitive for this kind of treatment. How much better did Coronation Street deal with domestic violence (Charlie Stubbs). The actor had spent a great deal of time visiting crisis centres and talking to women who had been subjected to the kind of treatment shown on the programme and it showed. It was one of best portrayals of what happens I have ever seen.
