video footage to CD

is there a way that (if your not particularly technically minded) that i can transfer old home video footage onto a cd?

You can buy connections that allow vhs recorders to be linked to a pc. A vhs video can then be played and the footage recorded to the pc. There is plenty software allowing the created pc file to be burned onto a dvd. A dvd holds larger files than a cd and will be better quality.
