you are right purple, the Queen has had one for years, carries it in her handbag. Looby, you can get plain ones which are a bit like a meathook with a flat top, the flat bit sits on the edge of the table and the bag hangs on the hook underneath. Mine is a natty job which you have to unravel (you need a degree in unpacking to do it) then it angles into place, and folds up again when you have done with it.

i had one on those handbag hangers a few years ago from my sister in the USA. Slightly useless as i wear across-the-body bags on which the handles are far too long uless it's a super-high table.
My useless pressie was a bell that you ring for cups of tea - useless cause hubby makes them all anyway!

All of my presents were decent this year, I did get a handbag holder last year though... love it for when the Radley comes out and I'm in a place I'd rather not put it on the floor!!

my most useless Crimbo gift has to be ............handkerchiefs!!!
Yes, the dreaded handkerchiefs that were given to me by my eldest brother!!
It's the first time that anyone has given me these awful things.
I prefer normal tissues myself,as they're more hygienic and I just bin them once I use one.Pah!

Pinkilady - yes..... and the other thing is - where do you put your handbag when you go to the loo, if there isn't a hook behind the door...? Now you can hook it somewhere!
