Can you get a good steady hot flow from a hot tap without the 'gradually running cold' problem with the shower?
( This is beginning to sound like a shower thermostatic unit problem)

Hiya
Have you found a temp control on the boiler for the hot water?
Many have them. Run it high for the winter.
Have you a thermostatic device on the shower control? It will be a temp lever around the front of the main valve. Does it allow control of the temperature as normal .. or has it changed?
If it IS thermostatic .. there is a canister inside that can fail.
What shower make/ model/ rating in Kw?

I also have a ferroli, that does instant hot water - so my shower is basically a giant mixer tap...it does not have a thermostat, just a lever where you choose how much hot/cold.
Maybe the temp of the water coming from the boiler is hotter than the Bristan's stat, and the shower unit is trying to block it and going a bit wrong?

its just the basic straight chrome bar with a temp dial on the right and the on of dial on left with small grey button on temp dial to depress to go over the high temperature there was a pic on the bristan web site but mine has no model no any were on it just bristan in small lettters, were do i prise it apart to look at the inside workings is it when it gets unscrewed form the pipework that stick out on the wall were the hot and cold fill in
