Ireland
My boyfriend, some friends and me are talking about going to Ireland next summer. We haven't started planning a thing yet and are very open to suggestions. Does anyone have any good or bad experience with particular places, any recommendations or just something they would like to say about Ireland? The only thing I can say for sure is that we are thinking about going for two weeks and do not want to spend them in Dublin, as we want some nature! Not that we refuse to go to Dublin, but we would not like to be there for two weeks.
Thanks

We intended to stay at different places each year, but Irish friends of our recommended a small village about 10 miles out of Waterford, and we've kept going back.
The place was featured once on a holiday program with Claudia Winkelman doing various water sports in the bay (Dunmore East).
I think you can get lots of information from a website visitireland.com - they provided me with brochures showing things to do, although to be fair we are all going golfing!
well, i'm a bit biased as i live in the north, but if you're startin in dublin - belfast is only an hour away and is well worth a visit, then you HAVE to go see the giant's causeway and all that jazz - it's beautiful and it'd be a shame not to see it.
and while your up on the north coast, you'll have to drive thru derry - not a tourist paradise - but plenty to see to fill an afternoon but you just can't not go to experience donegal, miles and miles and miles of rugged cliffs, long white beaches, mountains and if you want nature - there's no where else in ireland where you'll find everything in such a small area.
you take these things for granted when you live here, but i just love takin people who've never been before to see all the natural beauty lying around every corner! don't miss it!
beautiful country, good beer (but you get that most places), Guinness is much better. Food is more or less same as anywhere in UK. People much warmer and nicer.
Only downside, in local village pubs they like a sing song and get started late in the night. All very nice and fun, but you are not allowed to talk during the songs. Rudely ssshhheeed. So you are sat there listening to songs and it gets a bit tiring after a while.
