Not sure where to post this so will start here.
Do you live in Adelaide Australia or know someone who does?
I would like to know if the people there have trouble with their Broadband.
The reason I am asking is because there is someone I know who lives there and his e-mails are getting very far and few between and it's always because ' there are problems with broadband'
Also, do you know whether it's possible to send text messages from England to Australia ?
Any answers appreciated.

Yes you can send texts....when my mate was in Oz it cost 20p to send him a text.

Thanks for that ummmm
my sister is in a very remote part of Victoria. the town only has 10 roads.. but her broadband is always fine.
Hubby is chatting to his brother in Adelaide as I type. No problems - He usually chats via skype twice a week and there aren't usually any more problems than when we chat to our daughter in Canada. Yes you can text to almost anywhere in the world. They cost more than a text in the UK though.

mmmmm interesting, Perhaps my friend is trying to drop a hint?
Just because his broadband is playing up doesn't mean everyone elses is.
could it be he has had trouble paying his bill and he just doesn't want to admit it? He may be using a friends broardband occasionally?

All food for thought :-)
I'm sure if they were trying to give you a "hint" you'd have picked that up in the tone of their occasional emails.
I can have problems with broadband while the guy next door doesn't (because we have different providers, I'm on Virgin, he's on Sky). So just because one person's got problems in Adelaide doesn't mean everyone has. (It's a big modern city, so it should be as wired up as anywhere.)
I have no trouble with mine, missprim and I'm here fairly frequently. The govt is messing around with broadband but more in the country areas of Oz

Good luck with your friend
