Of course we don't want terrorists any more than rapists or perverts. I'm certainly not burying my head in any sand, but I don't keep banging on about it all the time. If we all worried about the sky falling in, none of us would ever get on with our lives.
Boxtops, oh yes, of course. Another one who thinks criticising the Daily Mail makes her appear clever and sophisticated. Well, it doesn't. By your own admission you and jno share the same views - and if that's the case (although it surprises me because I thought you were better than that), then it follows that you are as thoughtless as she is. You may find her stupid comments funny, but I don't - but then I suppose you and she never spent a very long and lonely day wondering if these madmen had murdered your whole family.
Far from it naomi - and you know nothing about me, only what you interpret from what I post here, which is purely from my own perspective and from my studies and extensive life experience.
Regarding your "don't suppose" - I will tell you that I spent a very long and lonely night in the 1980s waiting for my husband to come home from a night out in Birmingham on the evening that the IRA blew up the Tavern in the Town - he had been in there for part of the evening. How dare you assume that this type of event has never touched me - how could you possibly know?
I don't claim to be clever or sophisticated but I am not alone in my views of the Daily Mail's stirring. Your arrogance leaves me breathless - but then not for the first time.

I don't see anywhere in my response that said I agreed with jno on anything - I was responding to her response to pixi. I stand on my own views, as do you, so stop trying to corral people into corners. You won't find me agreeing with anyone just for the sake of it, so don't keep looking for a fight. As I have said to you before, there are times when we are going to have to agree to disagree, and retain some respect for each other's views. You have your perspectives, I have mine. Nuff said.

Boxtops, //LOL jno - I wish R1G would get our views into perspective, we are not all steamed up about radical views .....//
Well if you weren't agreeing with jno, I'm at a loss to know to whom you were speaking there. I wonder who 'our' and 'we' can be?
By the way, I'm not looking for a fight but when innocent people have died and when this country is under threat from an enemy within, I won't sit by and watch thoughtless people who prefer to ignore it talk inane claptrap without challenging it - no matter how smart and progressive they think they are.
