If I clear my cache, that's going to delete all the recently visited sites, etc isn't it?

No, it will clear all your remembered logins though.

to clear recently visited sites you need to clear your browsing history, look on the tools menu for clear history (or similar, depending on browser)

(what dodgy sites you been visiting then :-p)
Question Author
ha ha, no dodgy sites Chuck. I've changed my avatar and although it's removed the old one, it hasn't added the new one.

I don't want to lose the recently visited sites nor do I want to lose the log ins I have remembered as it takes agest to get them all back.
Just press CTRL and F5 at the same time to reload the page you are looking at and refresh the cache.
Question Author
That's doesn't make my new avatar appear though?
Did you make sure it's set as G rated on gravater?
Question Author
It was on PG but I have set it to G now. Will see what happens....
Only G rated will work here.

It may take a few minutes for gravatars cache to update, there is nothing you can do to speed that up though.
Question Author
There it is! I'm sure my last one was PG rated. Obviously I am delusional.

Thanks Chuck!
It's working now, assuming it's a drawing of two cartoon people with a heart.
As only G-rated works, what is the point of the other categories?
I remember that. A very old cartoon series from, dare I say it, The Daily Mail.
Question Author
I suppose they are for other sites Mike.
Question Author
Oh no! Not the Daily Hate Mail. (see what I did there).

Ah well, I still like them.
Gravatar is totally separate to answerbank, the other categories are relevent for sites other than this one that use gravatar to supply their avatar system
Just a question, but why did you think that image was worth a PG rating?
Question Author
I didn't think it was, but in the past I have had trouble selected the G rating so just thought I'd go straight for PG this time. I didn't think PG was a high rating.
Because it comes from the Daily Mail which, if certain posters are to be believed, should come with a parental warning.
