British sportsmen seem to do better when they are not being watched by millions on terrestial TV. Examples being England winning the Ashes, Europe winning the Ryder Cup, David Haye Heavyweight Boxing champion etc etc.
Perhaps all England football matches at the next World Cup should be on Sky, or not televised at all, then we might go and win it!

Seconded - they can keep the golf on though.....
Why hasn't anyone thought of that earlier....
golf coverage is rubbish on bbc, they need a dedicated sports channel on digital if they want to show events
Christ cazz you had better not see American coverage then.
What would happen to the thousand people the BBC
seem to have to talk about and introduce sport .
you mean via the golf channel/fox/nbc, sky sports gets the stream live, but they tend to cut off on the dot at the end of alloted time regardless of whats happening :o
naked lady caddies couldn't make golf interesting.
the ryder dup coverage was awful from the bbc, lucky I watched it live on sky
