Whilst these are very sad and shocking, do they really need to be our news headlines for so long or publicised here quite so much?

I suppose it reinforces the UKs stance on it's guns law.

Well yes, I suppose that's true ummmm . I'd just prefer to hear news at home rather than the US - media hype I suppose too .
it is important that we get minute by minute updates on the status of an american politician who we have never heard of right ? no ?

ok, maybe it is just another opportunity for the media to say, "look guns are bad". because obviously, we keep forgetting. this statement is then changed to "gun's don't kill people, people kill people". and so the cycle begins again...........
If it's an attempted assassination of a politician on political grounds in a country that prides itself as the democratic model for the world it's pretty important!

If our news only covered British events we'd become incredibly insular and ignorant of the larger world.

oh snap! this s test ive heard about this. maybe they are talking about it alot cause he might get the death penalty??
I did think about writing tham Ummm but slapped my wrist!
i thought the question was about the "amount" of coverage, not against international news coverage.
I guess it is cheap telly, they just tke a feed and can fill hours with it.
