Why the silence?

The problem of some Muslim men absconding young white girls has been headline news for several days and has been widely discussed on many phone-in radio shows.

But what is strange is the fact that I myself have entered two questions on AB, concerning this issue and both have attracted very little interest , and others have not thought the matter serious enough to enter their own questions on the subject.

This excerpt from Melanie Phillips column on the subject says it all,

/// Muslim women are often treated abominably within their communities. But to their suffering, feminists and other right-on liberals are almost totally silent. The only sound from that lobby is the cry of ‘racist’ or ‘bigot’ hurled at anyone who dares protest at such religious slavery.///

"I will take it as read that just because this crime was carried out by groups of Pakistani men it should therefore not be discussed. "

Why!? That's not a logical conclusion from what anyone has said to you at all. Once again, you come across as hearing whatever you want to.

Nobody is trying to stifle you. Nobody is trying to sweep anything under the rug. Nobody is too scared to say things when you're not (it's an internet forum for chrissake, nobody can even see who you are).
Melanie Phillips - the mild-mannered and unbiased author of "Londonistan: How Britain Has Created a Terror State Within" - is not necessarily typical of British media or of Britain generally; quote her if you wish, but it doesn't prove anything. I feel she is a gal after your own heart, though.
\\...Most disturbingly, the police say that these convictions form only a small
proportion of a ‘tidal wave’ of such crimes. Yet, until now, there has been a conspiracy of silence over this phenomenon.....//

Seems the police see this crime as serious and have been silenced till now. Do we put our heads in the sand and risk our vulnerable girls in fear of being racist ?

/// But if it had been committed by a gang of white men on Muslim girls, I would not have been up early enough to enter my thread on it, others would have beaten me to it. ///

This is very true as soon as some of your snipers started to read this post i bet they started to look for any similar crime committed by savage white gangs.
Then they could have a good old snipe at you for not posting.
One other thing we should keep in mind. Ms Phillips writes fir a particular constituency. After reading her ridiculous attack on the Conservative Party's new 'enlightened' stance on gay rights (you'd have to see it to believe it), I now place her in the same category as your bog standard religious fundamentalist (ie. someone who absolutely won't brook any opinion other than her own).
"But if it had been committed by a gang of white men on Muslim girls, I would not have been up early enough to enter my thread on it, others would have beaten me to it."

Really? Care to list just how many threads there have been in, say, the last year about white men raping Muslim girls? You don't start many of them yourself, for some reason, but who else does?

You have it in one, true to form, you can read them like a book, see the latest posting.
