Does anyone know where Liz Macdonald is in real live, is she off the show because she's ill? I know in the program she is in Spain visiting her son Andy. She's been away for ages.

I notice just before xmass that she was never in it.. I stopped watching it for ages then one night I was flicking (as you do) and saw John and Charlotte running around with a body in a wheelie bin and I could'nt stop laughing, but I was hooked again,

a couple of years ago in real life she ran a pub, she persuaded a close friend to invest an inheritance of £100,000 just a few weeks before she closed the pub down and was make bankrupt.
The friend said she would have known that the business was in finantial difficulty yet still took the money, and the friend lost everything.
