Please I beg you dont let it be 1966.I have such graphic memories like the Berlin Wall,JFK etc.

Please dont belittle it by what was after all men just doing their job and succeding. It was not life changing apart from the fact that anytime England play we are all reminded of it!!!

If that is voted first and very hypothetically Scotland had won the world cup and this public opinion vote I would be horrified.

Here they just made it by ten years!!!!

Hi Buddy, I have just tuned in to that too and I hope the same . It would be shallow if it were to happen. There have been far more momentus happenings than that one!!

My votes are:

Vietnam, Martin Luther King, Ethiopia, Heart Transplant and Black Power (apartheid was still going on in the USA).

Thank god it was fifth!  none of mine in the top five lol
Good result eh Buddy?
It had to be 911,really,didn;t it? Those scenes still make my spine go every time.No one will ever forget the impact that, that had on us all that day,and since then!

Linda - like you prob, I watched the secomd one going in live and i was speechless.I suppose I am only surprised because it was so recent.
Yeh Buddy, did see the second one live, but as you say, thought I was watching a replay.Kirsty young etc.then commented that the second tower had been hit,and I thought, how stupid am I not to realise what I have just seen! It was just so horrific. Did vaguely remember jfk,but just in a background type of thing.
