Is any one car colour harder to keep clean and if so, what is it?

Mine is black and looks great when it's freshly cleaned. It looks a little like there are diamonds in the paintwork so it really sparkles (I suppose that's why they call it diamond black) but after a day or so it just starts to look grey and dull.

black definitely only looks right when showroom fresh
I find bright red to be a good colour if you're not too keen on car-washing because it looks OK even when dirty. I would never buy black or dark blue for the above reason.
My grey Golf looks ok when it's dirty but I agree with gingejbee about black and dark blue - which makes me out to be a pi££ock cos i've just ordered dark blue !!!!
I had a white car once.

Never again.
My car is dark blue metallic, looks great when just washed!...........Next day it just looks filthy, wish I'd chosen silver!.......never looks so bad as mine!......
Black
I've got a champagne metallic car (sort of brown version of silver) - it doesn't show the dirt at all.
I had a bright yellow Rover zxr. i took it into the garage for a new battery. The guy said "thall not loose that in the snow will tha". I was in Yorkshire.
LOL micmak - I heard once that yellow is the safest colour of car, nobody can miss seeing it! - unlike all the silver grey ones (and mine), really hard to identify in the fog this morning.
black show all those tiny scratched, and white show the muck, and red fades in the sun
like it mikmak!.....................wish I had bright yellow now!................
I'v always wanted a yellow car as it would cheer you up in the morning. my washing line is yellow so are my clothspegs but its not the same ha ha
The worst colours to keep looking clean are white and black.

I used to own a chauffeur company and I had 17 cars. All were white except for one blue car and three black Daimlers we mostly used for funerals. Every car had to be cleaned before a job as they showed every speck of dirt, even on dry days. They couldn't be cleaned the day before as enough dirt and dust settled overnight to make them need cleaning again the next day.

One tip! If you wamt to make a black or white car appear to be polished all over, then just polish the highlights such as the corners of the wings, door pillars etc. The flatter areas such as the bottoms of doors don't notice.
Andyvron, believe me, too late for that now with mine!..............it is filthy!.......
I'm really bad about cleaning the inside, let alone the outside......
We cleaned them two or three times a day in this weather Welshlibranr - and they still looked filthy!
Mine is silver, never looks as dirty as others, esp black.
Mine's black - nearly always looks dirty... and smears etc show more when you have bothered to wash it. Red's the best colour I think.
Got a white Landrover Defender - only looks right when it's covered in mud.

Get it looking just great and you get rain come down and wash it all off - quite infuriating!
Ah - landrover's etc are supposed to be mucky - otherwise you just look like one of those posers who you just want a big truck - but never ever go off road or into any mud or muck or field whatsoever.

But - white??????????
