I remember seeing a western woman breast feeding her baby on a Malaysian Airlines flight to Langkawi. In the west we think that is acceptable and rightly so, but other countries/cultures might think differently and one can`t necessarily ride roughshod over their feelings.
No it`s not illegal but I still stand by my opinion that is unusual for some cultures to experience breast feeding if it is not done in a modest manner. I was in the City Hall Mall in Singapore a few months ago and a western woman was breast feeding her baby in the food court and the locals looked very uncomfortable with it. The women looked the other way and the men gawped
Keyplus, no one has suggested you have violated the law - simply that even though you choose to live here you are nevertheless always very eager to criticise - a privilege that, in this country, you are free to take advantage of without fear of reprisal. Goodness! And I'm questioning why you want to live here? Tut! Silly me!
Naomi - I am enjoying “Privilege” in this country and this is not the first time you have mentioned something like that. I have and I am giving more to this country than I have taken and I am very happy to have done so as by nature I am a nice person and people around me are well aware of that. Therefore I do not have to prove this to a pixel on AB as I believe that by being beneficial to a place where I am living I haven’t done a favour.
Then of course I am a realistic person who does not take serious notice of people who have “hidden agenda” behind repetition of few aspects as it only shows their inferiority, complex or desperation. As far as I am aware I am as much British Citizen as you or anyone else is. Where I am fulfilling my duties towards this country I have as much right to criticise what I do not like or agree with.
Finally it would benefit your own reputation if you stick to the topic of the thread.
About Breast feeding I would only say one thing that has been talked here before. I don’t think people anywhere in the world object breast feeding. What they object is the unnecessary show or the breast when feeding a child and to that extent I do agree that a woman should make an effort to keep it as much covered as possible and that also helps child. Although still the same people do not mind looking at page3.
