I noticed that a lot of Abers consider themselves to be middle class. How do you classify this? I thought that everyone who worked for a living would be working class. Does this mean you do not work, or you get more money, or your job is different, or all three, or perhaps another classification. Posher, better educated ???

Middle class people work as well -its down to what you do with your hard earned cash IMO.
I classed myself as middle class as my parents bought land when no-one else did and built a very large house. My siblings are Uni educated and hold very powerful jobs and I also had a very good career.I have owned several properties and currently own 3 between us.Its certainly not snob value its because I have values and saw the bigger picture and the benefits which it could bring.
Im off out so cant reply in the meantime.
THis might help

In the States-you are classified according to the kind of work you do.....is it the same here? A middle-class person would not be the ditch digger.
I do a 'working class' job, but feel middle class. Strange really.
