Thanks to all for getting back to me.

The date of the crossword I sent in was 31st December, 2010.
My name and address was on a pre-printed name and address label The piece I cut from the paper showed my name including a middle initial, town and county, and yes the sum involved was £50
As slinky-kate (love the name) waited almost a month I will have to be patient a bit longer.
It is the first time since I started doing the crossword someone from Hartlepool has won it. (me!)
