Knob Help required!!

I have a lovely brass door knob and knocker, or so I thought. Have been at them with the Brasso and nothing! they seem to be coated in a protective coating, if that is the case why are they looking jaded. Do I need a new knob?

do i have any rights over telegraph pole obstucting my drive?

I think you can also buy electric knob polishers but you will need a good supply of batteries for regular knob polishing.

Oh Ratter that sounds a little dangerous, am not very good with electrics. I do have a battery powered pencil sharpener, well I think that's what it is, was a gift and you don't like to ask do you?
