Potato Rosties

I want to cook rosties but not entirely sure how to prepare them or cook them... Help please!

the way I make them is:

Grate some potato and onion together, then put the gratings in a teatowel and squeeze as hard as you can to remove as much liquid as possible.  Mix together 2 eggwhites and I tbsp of plain flour and season. Stir the potato mix into the egg mix.  Plop spoonfuls of this into a pan with oil  and flatten slightly with a spoon.   fry for about 4 mins each side.
