I'm feeling sorry for myself. I am in trouble at work, as I made the mistake of taking on a solicitor, my boss is vile and I'm skint. Alll together now, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

when you say 'mistake', was it an unforced error? piir judgment? against company policy? gross misconduct? you need to put it in perspective.

Yeah still.........my boss is devious. She was on my side to start but what the lawyer said made me sound mentally ill. Its utter bull but as I said, I cant prove it.

forget he is a solicitor, he's just another employee of someone else, he coulod well be as worried as you.

Lol Society no. The solicitor prevented me from carrying out my duties, so I had cause to get a third party involved. The third party told the solicitor he was wrong,and allowed me to do what I was trying to do. I had to put in a complaint about his behaviour, so he responded with the lies.

So - the lies are to be investigated, you get a chance to put your side of it? If someone complained to my employer about me, I would be on a disciplinary of some sort and fully investigated.

Could you speak to another solicitor in your workplace? Perhaps they might see your 'situation' your way and advise you the best course of action to take.

Are you in a big organisation? This really ought to be investigated by someone other than your boss, too closely involved.

Well the third party involved is your witness - there's evidence. You have nothing to worry about so chill. When you go to work on Monday things might be forgotten.

Im not a solicitor,I encounter them in my job. And the witness wouldnt be allowed to be a witness. Sorry for the cloak and dagger but knowing my luck the boss will be on here:)

Kiki, I've been in a similar position - a customer made a complaint about me and told a lot of lies. I had witnesses but my boss decided she wouldn't bother asking them and sided with the customer, hauling me over the coals in the process. I thought about taking it to the union, but the rep was not only her rep too, but also her pal so I just had to take it. At the time I thought it was the end of the world, but it all blew over and the boss has now taken early retirement, so the whole thing is forgotten about. Try not to worry x
