Dris, you mentioned in another thread that you miss creamola foam - there's a new version out called kramola fizz. It's made by a guy who lives near me and the local sweet shop sells it, but I've found an online seller.

You can't get the original version Annie. It was discontinued in 1998 and the recipe was subsequently lost. The brand name has since been sold by Nestle to Premier Foods but since there is no recipe to go along with it, it has never been brought back into production. There is another version being made in Fife I see

You are right karen,
When the recipe (in fact the only surviving large tin) was sold to Premier Foods,they put it (along with many other one offs from Nestles) in a store cupboard.When much much later the decided to remake Creamola they found the lid had beennot secured tightly,and the Creamola had in effect evaporated!
Of course,by then nobody was survivng who knew the orignal recipe.
Lets hope the new one tastes as good,as when it's in stock again I am going to buy some for my landlady who is Scottish!

daffy -I swear its not an aquired taste.Its not just a Scottish thing either.Its so unique its hard top describe but forgetting the example im about to give and what that it tastes like -its the same type of tin as Andrews Liver salt -and the crystals inside are similar BUT when you add Creamola foam to water its just sensational !! Im surprised they dont manufacture as it was a stalwart in my Mums cupboard at home and everyone I knew

Having been born in Kent and brought up there I can say we never had Creamoila Foam.I think it must have been a Northern/Scottish thing.My Landlady (who is Scottish) raves about it,but doesn't know it has been revived (yet).
Strange you should mention Andrews,we used to stir a teaspoon into weak fruit sqaush,it was great.If Creamola is better than that(and I am sure it is) I look forward to trying it.
