Just received my new Asus Netbook and it has a plug with two pins on it, and says you have to plug it in and turn it till it clicks into place. Question is, what do I plug it in to?
There doesn't seem to be anything in the box.
What model netbook do you have? A visit to the Asus website should be able to tell you what you need to know or go back to the shop where you got it from and ask them to show you.
Sorry wrong info, its an Acer Inspire. I got it from Vodaphone, its one that works on a sim and its the charger that I have a problem with, it doesn't have a normal plug on it just a thing with two prongs that you have to plug into some sort of plug! I'll go into our local 'puter shop and ask the geek.
Ok, checked the box, its an Acer ASPIRE One. It has a lead which goes into the machine at one end and the other end has a black box with two pins sticking out and the diagram shows that you put the two pins into a (?) plug and turn till it clicks. Don't have anything to put the two pins into though - presumably I need some sort of plug to put into the mains that will take the two prongs?
we have the same laptop, you have the lead from the laptop to a rectangular box, then from the rectangular box you have a 2 pin adaptor that clips into a standard wall plug (you have to push this in and turn it to lock it into place.
I have tried to find a link with a pic of all parts, i've had no luck.
if you're still stuck i could mail you a picture of what you should have and how it fits together.
Comes slinking in looking very embarrassed, just looked in the bottom of the box under the cardboard packing and found the other half of the plug!!!!!! Thanks for your answers folks but I fink I got it now!
