in the following passage the numbers represent different letters,

many 31455 that the 12345 of a 25132 53125 is like the 2554 of an 5342: both can make you 134125 with 4315 like choking on a 23415 23154 hope this makes sense

No problem. It said "an 5342" so 5 must be a vowel. The first word ends with two of these vowels and so "E" is the most likely answer. The only word that made any sense was "AGREE". This gave 4 out of the 5 letters and from there it was easy to solve.
