Crackling sounds

Hello, Recently my laptop has started crackling when any sound comes from it. This includes start up sounds and my itunes. What is the problem and how can I irradicate it? Thanks

Hi there,

This could be due to your speakers having been turned up too loud and have been damaged thus producing distorted sound, or perhaps dropped or banged at any time? Otherwise just try turning down your volume and fiddling with the fidelity.
