Went to see it last night - excellent. Great acting all around, but especially from Colin Firth.
I have to say that if I could liken my BF to any 'celebrity', (looks, speech etc) it would indeed be Colin Firth. Ok, no George Clooney, but I'm pleased ;-) If only he would regularly walk out of lakes and pools with his shirt all undone and wet, I'd be even more pleased.

Who does your partner resemble as a celebrity or well known person?

Mr Tiggs says people have likened him to Tom Cruise. I have never found Tom Cruise attractive.

Oh Jems, if you weren't such a lady and it wasn't so early in a morning, I have a wonderful (but very rude) tale to tell about the real Des O'Connor.... he was a 'naughty boy' back in the day.

But it's not my 'story', and like I said, a tad distasteful to say the least....But hilariously funny..... ;-)
A fantastic film.

mosaic - I'm 14 years older than Colin and I don't have any wrinkles on my forehead either (and I haven't had botox!)
fatboy could pass for friar tuck
Marty could pass for Luke Kelly :-(

My Colin's father was the dead spit of Eric Morcambe.....
My wife does not look like anyone famous.

I on the other hand look like the result of a union between Paul McKenna and Loyd Grossman - without the money of one, or the voice of the other!

Relax ladies - I'm spoken for ....!!!!!
dammit :-)
I went to see The King's Speech this evening and I have to say it was pretty good. It was also good to see Jennifer Ehle in it as Logue's wife.
