AUDI A4 HESITATION!!!!!!!

hello i have a 1998 audi a4 petrol 118k miles drives great untill i try and put my foot down to build up speed it hesitates at around 2000rpm but then all of a sudden the powers there and its fine once it gets past it its ok on d roads and motorway once speeds built up i just have to get past the hesitation part etc if i build up speed slowly because i know about the hesitation its ok just cant get away as quick as it should pulling out of junctions etc is a nightmare ?????

is it injector or turbo - you have the suggestion for the former, the latter could not be working if you have one.

Have an A3 1.8T and really like it.

sound like a sticking exhaust gas return valve (egr).
had the same problem with my rover 420 and just blanked off the valve.

where is the egr valve on the a4 v5 1.8??..and also wheres the tps located is it worth removing them and cleaning them 1st etc?
