Has anyone hand washed there wedding dress before.? My daughter has bought here from ebay, hand made in china. Beautiful dress but really grubby and dirty around top edge and all the hand stiching on the bodice of the dress. It is made off satin material. many thanks

Can it be dry cleaned? If you do decide to wash it, I would say to wash it in the bath to help keep it straight and not creased. also no fabric softener and liquid soap. but I could never tell you to go for it.
Personally I wouldn't risk it, and would have it dry cleaned.
Google for a dry cleaner who specialises in wedding dresses, this is what I did and mine came back like new (this was after the wedding btw), and only cost £40.

A friend of mine washed hers the way arwyn suggested, in the bath with gentle liquid soap, and it came out fine, but again this was after the wedding when we weren't so fussy!
Yes, I washed a wedding dress before the wedding on the delicate setting. It was fine.
