Hi all
I have a tumble dryer in the gagrage and has been working grand. Last night I went to use it and it blew all the fuses and tripped the whole system. Gave dryer a good cleaning as i usually do, used extension lead and plugged into kitchen...switched on and same problem again...fuse blew and tripped system again! Any help really really appreciated, not an ols dryer, but sadly out of guarantee.

Cheers

Usually the heating element comes adrift inside it's holder and shorts to earth. If you dont mind stripping it, worth a look.
Check if it works on cold (if there is that setting) If trips with NO heat, it will be motor or switch I expect.
did it blow fuses or just trip consumer unit?

does make a differnce when it's third hand - lol
It will not be possible to diagnose fault like this but how old is it / out of guarantee? You can expect a reasonable life from from any product - if it does not forfill this you can still contact manufacturer and seek recompense
for third hand I mean symptoms
