do all ducks quack

just been told that only male ducks quack, is this true? never heard it said before and if its true, judging by the noise round a pond near here some must be doing overtime in the spring.

Its the females that quack loud, (Mine do anyway), males have a raspy deep low quack

We always laugh about this when we walk along the canal.It's always the 'women' who make the loudest noise!
