Do these still happen? I remember my nan used to take me to these as a kid, a bit of a car boot sale type thing but with cake!

I've been to a few coffee mornings but they weren't like car boot sales. Just had tea/coffee, cake/biscuits and chit chat.

You need cake jankers!
They probably still happen but they're more likely to be called something like a 'table top sale' and less likely to occur during the evenings.

However a quick web search for "evening table top sale" has brought up a few references to such events being held.
I remember bring and buy sales in private homes, usually for charity.
I have known my mum to have coffee "mornings" but not evenings, thats when the plonk comes out!

my Grandma used to go to the "Tuesday Club" which was strangely on a Wednesday.... and they used to play bingo and buy jam, and always with tea and cake.... and remembered fondly by me :)
