wanting an island building in our kitchen. this may sound a silly question but can you buy a kit or do you just get a builder in. im wanting a plate warmer and wine fridge cooler built into it if possible. as its in the middle and we have wooden flooring down, how do you get the electrics if any to the middle of the room?

When I've made these up, I just get the appliances (in your case .... wine cooler etc), then make up the rest with standard base units .......... or make them if it's an odd size.
Electrics would have to be run under or through the floor. It can be chased in and hidden neatly, but it depends on the layout and type of flooring you have.
Alternatively, if you had a post or posts sat on the worktop, going up to the ceiling....... you could use stainless steel or chrome tube for the post(s) and run the cable through the tube.
Stainless steel posts look good carrying glass shelves.
