What type of phone is suitable for a Same Day Courier?
3 Answers
As most of you know I am considering among other things becoming a same day courier. I can buy a van without many problems, but need to know what type of phone to use. Clearly this phone would have to be able to send emails and access the Internet, but is it possible to send faxes from a mobile phone? Can anyone speak from experience on this front, and would this phone have to be a contract phone, not the other kind?

All you'd need is a laptop and a printer (with an inverter to power it from the van).

yopu could get an email invoice template and save many individual copies to your drafts folder in your email whilst on your computer...you can then edit them and email them from your phone...you cannot attach documents to emails from a phone you see.. but if you make sure you have perhaps about 20 draft emails saved you should be fine....though i cant see the need for that much urgency...when you get home should be fine.
you can send text faxes online using online fax sites like efax, but you have to pay...but if its a copy of another paper doc you would need a scanner - or a digital camera at a push...email is best ...if the cumstomer cant accept emails only faxes then just wait til you get home...
