condition called dupramose or something?
10 Answers
I've had a problem with my hand this last 6-7 months were two fingers will not bend properly and one of them is quite sore. I was told today that the condition is called dupramose or something but I'm not sure how it is spelt. Has anyone heard of this?

Can be hereditary, by husband, his dad and his brother both had operations for this, eventually. Sorry ! Keep up the massage, it can only help.

Hello sqad, the diagnosis was made by the owner of the sports injury clinic I went to. He said he's seen it before and reckons I'll always need to work at it, rubbing at the palm where the fingers meet and stretching them outwards. Its quite sore to do but I'll keep at it for a week and then go back a couple of times to see if I get any relief.
Thanks smurfchop I saw that wiki site after rowanwitch and valanne posted. I don't much like the look of that hand after the operation but I realise that for a permanent cure it may be necessary. I was told that I may need an operation by an orthopedic doctor before christmas but he reckoned a dose of tablets he prescribed should sort it, but they didn't.
For now I think I'll give the massage and stretching a few weeks and then make a decision about contacting the orthopedic guy again.

Going to see the specialist again in march so if he suggests operating I'll have to think about it. He didn't mention an operation the last time but I took it as an off the cuff remark. Also the way he described it did not suggest the picture on wiki, he just said a snip here and a snip the there. With any luck it won't come to that.
Until then I'll just go to the physio one a week and keep working at it. Thanks for replies.
