Once again we are warned about a potential suicide bomb attack, but what are we doing about it?
America are concerned about own home-grown terrorist, while the government’s independent reviewer of anti-terror laws warned that human rights rulings had made the UK a “safe haven” for suspected foreign terrorists.
Taking into account that the rest of the EU are also bound by these 'human rights' rulings, what makes the UK more of a 'safe haven' for terrorists?

Yes we all know that, but if you had read the question properly without first having the need to take yet another dig at me, you would not have missed my last paragraph.

THE REST OF THE EU ARE ALSO BOUND, Got it yet?

Lets try again
/// warned that human rights rulings had made the UK a “safe haven” for suspected foreign terrorists.///
Now taking it read that the rest of the EU is bound by these same human rights rulings (which I believe they are) what makes the UK more attractive for these foreign terrorists?
I have read reports that the rest of Europe blame the UK's lax immigration policies and their generous benefit system.
But why should they worry, do they want them in their backyard?

I seriously don't understand these people who want to throw terrorist suspects out of the country.
Do they stop being a threat at Dover?
Talk about out of sight out of mind!
Surely it's better to have them here in the UK where we can see what they're up to than wandering around God know where up to who knows what?

Put yourself in the mind of a terrorist. You would certainly want to go where there are other like minded people like yourself, have the same views, live in gettos where you could go about your business undisturbed, a direct hub to the US where you can plant your bombs, an English idealogy that mirrors the US, and if caught have some of the best lawyers paid for by the taxpayer and knowing its almost impossible to lock you up and be charged and can remain here for years with the border force unable to chuck you out.
germany, belgium and the netherlands have weak terrorism laws and therefore often have difficulty in keeping suspects in jail. in germany, al-qaeda suspects remain free, when in other countries they would face arrest. in britain, where the terrorism laws are
tougher, it is the secret services that dominate the country’s antiterrorism efforts. in france and spain, a special counter-terrorism judge investigates and prosecutes suspected terrorists.
so please explain aog, why you think we are "more attractive" than say, belgium or germany. or is this lame thread really just about immigration and benefits (again) ?

I have to agree with Ankou on this one, having lived in various places in europe the UK is not the Safe Haven everyone thinks it is for terrorists. The reason you hear more about raids in this country is because we are proactive and try and stop things before they happen.
Yes our border controls may be lax and the money easy to claim if you are a so called immigrant, however the security agencies do a lot of checking on all movements in, out and around this country.
