working off shore / anti social high paid jobs

having reciently split from my gf and needing a carrerr change i have been concidring a high paid anti social job eg , oil rigs , cruise ships , motorway maintence but dont know what and how to get into in , any suggestions would be greatly apprecieated , cheers .          (no experience/qualifications)

It sound to me like you don't really want a horrible 'anti-social hours' job (well paid though it is), but you just want to remove yourself from society for a while, and you think getting you head down and working will be the answer to forgetting what you have been through.  If this is the case, then don't do it as you will be removing yourself from your support network (friends and family) just to get away from your gf.  I don't know what you do at the moment, but if you have an actuall career, don't chuck it in.  Unless you were going to chuck it in before you and your gf split up, then go for it.  Good luck whatever you do.

cruise ships aren't anti social, though it depends on what your role would be. if you are not skilled go for assistant in the onboard shops and bars etc, or if you have any musical skills try and join the caberet etc.

at least you'd probably have some fun

If you're gonna work on cruise ships the best place to be is selling duty frees - because when the ship is in port they have to shut up shop so you get off to wander whichever city you're docked in - whereas most other staff have to sieze the opportunity when most passengers have taken off to get a lot of their work done.. so I heard.

Working in a fish factory in Iceland or the North of Sweden is a cash cow but VERY depressing - I think they only allow you a 3 month contract first off as it is so bad.
