Hi TWR - I do actually trust lots of people, just very bitter about the experience we had (can you tell?). I have some lovely friends who I trust with my precious things (my children) and who will bend to backwards to help me. Your kindness will be repaid at some point and you will come across someone who deserves your trust. Sorry for my cynical, bitter reply - it just still really p***es me off!

Everyone circumstances are different and when you keep getting burnt eventually you wake up and realise it's enough, time to put a stop.

I've seen it happen on here too.

People come on here and pour their hearts out with their problems, or sometimes in conversations give out certain personal information. Then only to have it used against them if they disagree with someone.

I cannot understand why I am like that, I try to find that people like myself a lot! it seems we are not, it has hurt me a lot to the point that I had to seek professional help to try & come to terms with this, I am not a person that cries out for help at the least little thing, but! people & people that you think that you can trust beggars belief

Don't stop trusting people TWR, maybe hold back a little till you get to know someone a bit better to decide whether they are worthy or not - but don't let someone's betrayal make you start second guessing yourself or doubting your own judgement. Whoever did this is the one in the wrong, not you.

I agree with Karen....Learn by your mistakes...recognise the signs if you can...but don't stop being the person you are.

Yes, of course you can; what a question. The way to happiness is to trust everyone once, and yes, I did see that in a Creature Comforts clip. I trust people to give me honest, unbiased answers to any question I ask here, as well.
