She put her large camera bag into the overhead luggage locker when she got on, and when she got up to take it out - it was not there. No one had any idea of where it had gone, so perhaps it had been taken off by someone and handed over before they left the ground. Travellers beware!
I left a small bag on Eurostar once; when I went back to get it, it had vanished. The official explanation was that thieves travel on the train on the lookout for careless travellers like me. I don't believe it: it's an expensive journey and they'd be lucky to get anything out of it. Ten to one it was staff.
When flying back from the Dom Rep last year into Manchester one of my suitcases had been opened as only the zips were fastened but the other fastenings werent. There wasnt anything missing though so I presumed they were randomly looking for drugs. However my sister noticed the same and her camera was missing from hers. I did tell her she was stupid to put her camera in the case lol.
