going to escape at the gap barbados, what to do in barbados?

hi all, have any of you been to barbados before? if so what experiences have you had?
what things would you recommend to do and avoid?
only there for 7 nights so want to make the most of our time away.

Love Barbados. You can do the booze cruises. There`s a catamaran which takes you swimming with turtles. There`s Atlantis submarine from Bridgetown. There`s a segway place opened up in the North. Oistins fish fry is a must on a Friday night. The local fishermen cook you fish and there are stalls and music. It`s open all weekend but Friday night is the best. Good to hire a car one day and go over to Bathsheba and see the other side of the island. To get about you can use the white minibuses (called ZRs) for B$1.50. Pisces is a must for dinner one night. Not much to buy but I like to go home with a bottle of the local hot sauce and a bottle of Mount Gay rum.

You could go and sit in Concorde. Its as close as I got to flying in it!

Ted's Tour is a bus tour of the Island and its brilliant. You can tour the Mount Gay Rum Factory too. Snorkelling with turtles is a must. Drinking rum punch til you fall over is also necessary!!!!

I hear that if you wear anything camouflage, you'll have it confiscated. Closest I've been to Barbados is Antigua and St. Lucia, but each island varies.

The rum punch is stronger than it seems ;-)

ive done most of the isands but never barbados, the island is beutiful but we came home early as the holiday at escape at the gap sucked :0( had a far better time in dorset lol
if going to barbados dont go there!!
