An ex colleague gave me a lift one day from the station to the office and we went round a 90 degree bend - wow I though we were going to tip over - what a weird feeling!!

That's the torsion bar suspension welshy. you'd have to go some to tip one over. Like the mini, it's centre of gravity was below floor level, making it very stable.
