Ever walked out of a film ?

My father took me to see 'Brief Encounter'. Apart from the music (Rachmaninov's 2nd.) it was pure romantic tosh. We both walked out half way through.
Years later, did the same for 'Hello Dolly'; Ghastly.

Yes, in the 60s..there was a load of c**p called The Hands of Orlac. It was about a world class pianist who had to get a hand transplant (told you it was c**p) and he was given the hands of a mass strangler. Ooooh the things those hands got up to !!There was also a Ray Milland film called The Premature Burial about people with catalepsy.
As usual, this thread exposes the sheer differences in peoples' tastes in art and culture.
I adore 'Brief Encounter' - one of my all-time favourite films, as is 'Annie Hall' which I have watched dozens of times.
The present Mrs Hughes and I stuck ten minutes of 'Moulin Rouge' before bailing.
I ran out of 'Marathon Man' at the pics because i was dentist-phobic. Have cured myself since and seen it several times, excellent film.
I should have walked out of ;'Four Weddings' but stuck it out for the sake of the present Mrs Hughes, who greatly enjoyed it.
As regulars on this site will know, that experience has left me permanently mentally scarred!!!!!

Poor you......you should have bunged him a tenner to see another flick.
Kings Speech and Black Swan both recommended by my eldest son, who is into film and media bigtime, as he studies them at college. He's off to New York next week with his student friends and teachers. Action packed week ahead for him there......seen his itinery.
I quite fancy upcoming 'True Grit' with Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon, The Sci-Fi action movie, 'Battle Los Angeles', and going to see 'Paul' next week.
