Best way to store chips for later?
14 Answers
We are having fry and chips later on for tea. I decided to cut them up earlier on to save a bit of time later. At the moment they are sitting in a bowl of cold water. But what is the best way to keep them for later. Should I keep them in water or perhaps salted water, or should I keep them in a bowl without water? What is the best way?

hi fobladob - i know this is no good to you today, but just for future reference:
I discovered recently, after finding tons of spuds at the back of my cupboard, that you can chip them, par-boil them and then freeze, ready to roast in the oven at any time.
I did it with chip shapes, cubes and roasties. They turned out very well. x
