Went to a Spiritalist Church once with a work friend - she didn't want to go on he own, so muggins here went with her. It was all very jolly until the woman on the stage pointed to the empty chair next to me and said 'there is a little lady sitting there' well I nearly sh!te myself.

Also visited a psychic with another friend - we had separate sittings - some stuff did come true.

Many, many years ago visited medium, she told me I was in midst of divorce, told me how much maintenance I would get (I laughed at it ) came true, said I would meet someone who'se name could be shortened to 3 letters (correct) we would be married 6 years to the day we met (correct) had 3/4 children(correct), I wrote it all down and years later read it and found it all true. Another time went to a psychic evening. was told i would lose my job but would carry on getting paid. Copmpany taken over, closed doewn but some of us kept on and paid by agency to help finish everything off.

My husband saw one just before we got together back in 1994. She was absolutely brilliant and told him loads of things that all came true. I cant remember that much now but here are some of them:
she described his car, which he didnt go in, and was very accurate it had red and white stripes on the back of it not anything she could have known.
she said he would have a brief fling with a blond girl before settling down with his soul mate (came true then SM was me!)
she told him he would get married for all the right reasons and have 2 children and to be careful as he was potent to making babies! Both our kids were quite a shock and the latest one happened completely unexpectedly.
she said lots of names that at the time he didnt know but has come to realise who they were now. One of which was the name of his current boss (she actually said the name of the company and described a minor disability that the man has).
I also saw the same person a few years later but she mainly talked about my work, nothing very specific.
After my MIL died the family saw someone else who described the exact circumstances in which she died and far too many things she could not have known. She also told my SIL that I would be pregnant very soon which came true. Even though at the time I was adamant I never wanted another.

FOA ANDYVON, sorry I'v just read you'r last post on this as I type slow and was finding it hard to keep up. I agree with what you said about them looking at you for signs but I was aware of this so really made it had for him. I had just entered the room when he said the bit about contraception.
Also years earlier I was very close to a mates Mam and we used to talk about this sort of thing and in a joke she said "when I die, if there is an after life I'll come back and let you know".. I'd forgot all about this as it was years later... He stopped and said "I can't think as a woman is yelling at me to tell you she is here. her name is **** and she has a pink carnation for you"... And **** knew that was my favorite flower.. I'd lost touch with the mate and lived miles away so no one would have knew this.
But I so agree with you as I'v also seen some reallly bad ones i.e "you have 3 kids" NO "you have 2 kids sorry I got mixed up" NO "WELL YOU HAVE 1 KID AND IT'S A GIRL" (getting mad at me ha ha) I have 1 son ha ha.... The bad one also said "you'r Dad is standing next to you" I told him my Dad was alive and kicking ha ha he said "oh well he looks out for you" I said I'v never seen him in years but he is alive.
Hence we all refused to pay him.
