With Bariatric surgery on the rise and costing tax payers thousands of pounds.
Do you think morbidly obese people deserve sympathy when it comes to life changing surgery?. OR do you think they need to fund the cost themselves?

I haven't worn a dress or skirt since I packed up Sales 12 years ago. My Daughter thinks my Bob Marley hoody is a bit much though!
My "look" was kindly described as "ageing rock chick"
I dress to please myself!
I suppose my style is a bit odd, lots of heavily embroidered bits....long skirts, loose knits, shawls and scarves and hats....
LOL Mazie

Good on you!!

And how about tights/ I haven't worn those dreadful things for years and years and years. Yuk, yuk, yuk!!
I can see both sides of this as when I was young I was really UNDER weight, I looked awfull no boobs no bum just a broom shank with clothes on, 5'6" and 7.5 stones. people always said "you look ill" I could never eat big meals and prefered to have a ciggy.
In my 30's I started to eat food that would put weight on and went up to 9.5 stones and for the 1st time in my live people started to say how well I looked.
In my 40's the weight kept going on as I'd stopped the ciggys and at this xmass I hit 11.5 stone and people started to say "how much weight have you put on.. look at the size of you'r belly... thats far too tight on you" SO I'v now for the 1st time in my life had to diet and this morning I hit 10stone+13oz. I plan to stop at about 10.5 stone as I now have a bum and boobs.
SO people are only happy with you when you'r the normal size as I'V found out in my life.
Hi,

In my opinion the 40's are the worst time for putting on weight which stays through the 50's and then people (well women) seem to slim down again in their sixties after the menopausal thing.
lottie - you forgot to mention about swapping periods for a goatee beard
I'm going to change my avatar and you can then see my fat bum...back in a bit
and no comment about the fag!
Loffty it IS so hard and slow to get the weight off you are so wright. I'm now 48.
Menopause for me was 40..... no beard yet but some horrible hairy moles that seem to sprout wires overnight
I lost most of my body hair after the menapause....
Off out now. Just have to have a tidy up with the beard trimmer!!

See you girls. Thanks for the nice chat!! xxx
Just briefly.

So did I Maizee, but the hair on my head got thicker!!??

(I didn't have much body hair to start with - none at all now ;o) )
Bye lottie xx

Mazie - you do NOT have a fat bum. Where is the camp man you said was in the photo with you?
Snap Lottie, I've got really thick hair. Bye x
Lol, I'm holding a fag, nipped on to the beach outside the holiday cottage for a crafty puff and the old man caught me on camera (I hate having my photo taken)
Are we still all "fatty bashing"? I am only about 5 foot 4 inches and weigh about 20 stone. There are many reasons why I am this weight - but, crucially, I eat just a bit too much and do far too little moving around. Taking Lithium and having polycystic ovaries doesn't help.

However I don't want anybody's sympathy and I don't want to bunched together with all the other fatties. I don't smoke, don't drink and don't take illegal drugs.

Losing weight would be nice - keeping a balanced mental health is much more important to me. People assume that I am depressed because I am fat - but that is a pretty sweeping statement. I am Bipolar and the illness predates any weight problems that I have had.

I don't like seeing fat children though - to start life overweight doesn't bode well for the future.
I can't even see the fag so you could have got away without mentioning it!
Damn!
