I'm hoping you can help me.
I am another user who regularly uses AB :)

Can you tell me what/if anything can i buy over the counter for piritus ani?
I had it years ago and my doctor prescribed me some cream that worked wonders, he also told me at the time that it might return and that i could by the cream over the counter, but it was so long ago i can't remember what it was called.

Please help Sqad, i'm really suffering :(

Well depends upon what is causing it......get Anusol H.C cream from the pharmacist, which applied twice daily should settle it down within the week. if not see your GP.

Thank you so much Sqad.

Out of interest what could cause it?? I was never really told by my GP - he just said its very common and here's your prescription
There are many causes.....Google Pruritis ani...........but of your bowels are normal, then the commonest cause would be haemorrhoids (piles) but skin conditons like Psoriasis can also be a problem.
