So, I went along to the cinema, Billy No-Mates cos the BF refused to watch a ballet film - how wrong was he! He would in fact have loved it - lots of lesbian dream sequences, sapphic love and sole female furtling...

I thought it was terrific. There was one scene in which I did, literally, lol - which, considering it was supposed to be a horrific sight and the fact that I was the only one in the cinema sat alone, got me some strange looks.

But all in all, I thought brilliantly acted, quite spooky in parts and quite disconcerting. I'm glad I went.

So it's not like The Red Shoes, something you'd be happy bring a young niece to see?

I think it would scare a young niece (how old is she sandy). The dancing in it is excellent, but it is no red shoes.
She was just a hypothetical niece, Salla.

Is it a tranny sort of film? Very unusual for that era.....
