The name of a Stephen king book ... i think...
11 Answers
Hi, so there I was the other day, putting in my contact lenses, and in the middle of poking my eye, I had a kind of deja-vu rush of blood to the head, and I suddenly thought of a scene from a book I know I've read.
Some guy gets attacked, I don't remember how, why, or by who, but he feels his eyeball pop.
Thats the most vivid part of the memory, just the eyeball popping, and I'm sure it was from a Stephen King novel I read years ago.
Only thing is, I'll be damned if I can remember which one, and it's seriously bugging me now.
Help !

After a week of intense thinking about it, I'm pretty sure it's from The Stand, when the Judge gets shot during his spying mission.
I can't find my copy, so can anyone who's read this confim it ?
Though I'm pretty sure that's it......

The Judge was shot three times in the Stand
Dave Roberts shot him just below the stomach
Bobby Terry shot him just above the eye - taking off the top of his skull
Bobby Terry shoots him just below his lower teeth - shattering his jaw
I do remember an eye popping in a Steven King book - but I have most of them so I need a bit of a clue to look it up for you.
Well, I've never read Rose Madder, so it's no thte one I'm thinking of.
It might have been the Judge, I'm still trying to find my copy of the Stand.
But just to add fueal to the debate, I remember the character knowing that this was his time to die, and I remember reading he felt the gooey inside of his eye run out.
But I'm almost positive now that its from The Stand.
