this evening we will mostly be having:
coscto pork and caramelised onion sausages
cauliflower cheese
carrot, swede and potato crush (rubbery old carrots, half a shrivelled swede, a few new potatoes, boiled up together and kind of bashed with a fork)
a melange of peas, sugar snap peas, onion, garlic and chilli (all leftovers found at the bottom of the veg drawer, chucked in a dish and microwaved) with a lively dressing of olive oil, lemon juice, mustard and honey (made with the dregs of the mustard jar and some honey which must be at least a year old)
all washed down with a nice bottle of cheapo fizz which cost .99 of a euro in france last year.
as you can see, we're really pushing the boat out....
