I have heard the scientific definition of this, but wonder what the theory is. I have heard these myths and wanted to know more because they were too brief and many do not know of this "gift" I am confused because I have had this all of my life with no explanation but it was a birth mark or another suggestion that africans used to hide diamonds in them or that is was just used for drainage. Help me please and I am open for suggestion and superstitions because it just has to mean something. I dont get sick, I heal easily, Inever broke a bone in my body and I seem to "see" things differently than others do. I usually get labled as "weird" and I keep to myself but many people are drawn to me anyway but I still do not feel the connection I think I should. I am an only child but I do have two half sisters who do not have these holes that I know of, neither do my children (boy n girl) but their dad has a small hole in his neck that does the same thing...puss, stinky, itchy. Weird, they say this is easy to explain and its just a minor thing...but why then do we have the same abilities? While sitting alone once when I was atleast about 7-9 on the couch the whole house to myself...I heard something clearly whisper my name..it was creepy but I was young and I tried to ignore it but I never got it out of my mind since because I always feel like someone is there guiding me or watching over me.

Oh....and they are hereditary...more common in females...and Blacks. There is no 'mystery' or myth attached to them.

aw yeah I figured but, it wasnt until i ran into this site that i started find out the myths about those holes and wanted to know where the myths came from. I went to the scientific explanations and found more information about it since no doctor could actually tell me what it was.
