I was made redundant from my employ 2 weeks ago, I have been lucky, however, and been offered an interview tomorrow with a company, the recruitment agency has just called to give me some advice on how the interviewer likes to play it and one of his questions is - How would your friend describe you or if you had passed away and looking down on your headstone what would it say abotu you?

How do you answer that?!!

That's just like asking what your strong points are but wording it differently.
As Spike Milligan would say 'I told you I was ill'
One of those people you could always rely on.......great in a crisis....and always willing to help...
Reliable, loyal and always willing to help with only a thank you requested for payment
that's morbid!!!!

Here lies the body of Kat
She was lovely and slim, not fat.
A tree fell on her head,
She dropped down dead
And it made a right mess of her hat
depends on what the job is - you need to then try to match that up with things that they would say about you. e.g. office job - reliable, willing to help etc. bar work - energetic, enthuastic, good with money.
good job there's a comma there vibra, could be interesting otherwise!

Agree with Murray, i'd be slightly put out if i was asked that in an interview, how bizzare! Not an interview for an undertakers is it?
you can't make it too prepared, as they will be expecting uyou to come up with something there and then.
Wherever you are let your wind blow free,

I didn't and look what happened to me!
I have been asked this one....I said Well if i was dead I wouldn't have applied to work here but I'd like to think that they'd say missed by the whole team....and made a great cake got a laugh if not the job
This is as much a question of how you see yourself as anything else. Why don't you ask some of your friends the question and see how their and your opinions match up? I think the guy is looking for a honest answer and I believe it always pays to let interviewers know that you are aware of your own shortcomings so you can deal with them. Admitting you are always a work in progress is never a bad thing, as long as you don't appear TOO negative. Good luck!

Sorry, I didnt mention the position, it is for a field sales role...

@ Vibrasphere... read name, Kat2206, Im female, I do NOT have a c*ck!
nor Kat should you need one...Vibes is a little obsessed with the subject...
In all fairness Kat, you did say "how do YOU answer that"....what Vibra said is what he'd apparently answer with :-)
"I have nothing,
I owe much,
I leave the rest to the poor"
well, I;ve never sold a field, but I would imagine a love of the great outdoors and cows would be good as good as anything
Just say I intend to be around for along time and hopfullly replace who ever set the questions .On second thoughts Ill just accept the job I was offered this morning .
“Never in the field of direct sales was so much sold by me to so few.”
