Packing Linen Trousers
18 Answers
What is the best way to pack linen trousers for a long haul flight? Going on a cruise - no iron in the room and not allow to take an iron (health and safety ... plus they want you to pay for an ironing service..). Should I roll them, pack with tissue paper, or what ?

hope you enjoy your cruise, where are you going? never been on one myself.

Caribbean, hence the linen. I don't do formal so its black linen trousers for me in the evening (or white) and linen capri pants during the day - at my age I don't do shorts either. And plenty of Fit flops. Thanks for your help everyone, I think hanging in the shower would be good. (not me, the linen). I might take a chance and pack the iron, they do scan the suitcases, they even look in your shopping bags when you come back after being on shore for the day, no spirits allowed on board ... only their own !
I would iron them, and seal them folded in a plastic zippy bag, then they won't move around and get creased, (my daughter is a travel agent, and does lots of long haul trips, she packs all of her clothes this way and it really does work!) and on arrival in your cabin, hang them near the shower, the steam should help, and as you said, after 5 minutes of wear, they will be creased anyway, that's linen trousers, they are cool and comfy, so don't worry about it, they'll be fine!
well I have taken severalk pairs of linen trousers with me to several Caribean destinations and they always unpacl still lovely ansd flat as I iron them then put them in the case and make sure the securing straps on the inside of the case are tightly clipped together, they are elastic and hold everything welkl in place once packed, But i always take my travel iron anyway. But aas you can't, just make sure they are well packed and have plenty of flat items below and on top of them,
